Here\u2019s a checklist of the developmental skills children need exposure to and knowledge of before they enter kindergarten.<\/p>\n<h3>Social skills<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Uses words to solve problems or conflicts<\/li>\n<li>Uses words like please, thank you and excuse me<\/li>\n<li>Adjusts to new situations<\/li>\n<li>Attempts new tasks knowing it\u2019s okay to make mistakes<\/li>\n<li>Shows pride in accomplishments<\/li>\n<li>Follows a simple direction<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Motor skills<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Puts puzzles together<\/li>\n<li>Cuts with scissors<\/li>\n<li>Holds and uses crayons, markers, pens, and pencils correctly<\/li>\n<li>Builds using blocks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Reasoning &amp;
